Interim Progress reports: They were issued Friday, February 25th.  Please make sure you sign and return the white copy only.  The yellow one is yours to keep. Thank you.

First Grade Event Contract: The 1st grade team, along with the principal's approval, has set forth an event contract effective for all first grade students.  Please review the letter sent home last week with your child and return it to school signed by no later than Friday, March 4th.  We feel that field trips and school events/celebrations are a privilege, not a requirement.  Good behavior is a must in order to participate, along with turning in math worksheets and spelling/vocabulary homework notebooks on time according to our homework schedule.  In addition, proper Friday formal uniform is also required as stated in the 23rd Edition's Cheetah Chatter.  Our last field trip is scheduled for Friday, April 15th. If the contract letter is not turned in by March 4th and signed by both, you and your child, he/she will not be able to attend. Thank you for your continued support! :)

Class News (02/21/11 - 02/25/11)

Interim Progress reports: They will be issued this Friday. Please make sure you sign and return white form only. Yellow one is yours to keep. Thank you.

Agendas & Homework folders: Please make sure you check agendas and HW folders daily for important information and news from the school, such as field trips, Cheetah Chatter, notes/letters from teacher, events, school-wide testing, etc. I also post this information on this website. Many students are still not turning in spelling/vocabulary homework notebooks. A composition notebook was given to each student back in September for spelling and vocabulary homework. I collect and check notebooks on Thursday and Friday, so they have all week to complete homework.  Now that we are in the 3rd quarter, the phonics/spelling skills are becoming more challenging. The spelling homework along with lessons/activities provided in class allows them to practice and reinforce those skills.
